The Role

We are looking for a to lead the finance function for a high-growth US company.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role covering both accounting and FP&A; . You will be responsible for the accuracy of the company’s financials, financial planning and forecasting, cash and liquidity management, and the finance infrastructure needed to support continued growth.

You will work closely with the founders, CEO, and leadership team and will be responsible for translating financial information into clear recommendations for business decisions.

What You'll Do

- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting
- Own the P&L;, balance sheet, and cash flow statement
- Lead the accounting team and manage external accounting, tax, and other finance partners
- Establish and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, approval processes, and reporting standards
- Oversee multi-entity accounting and consolidation
- Lead the annual audit or review process, including auditor management, PBC requests, and resolution of findings
- Coordinate US federal, state, and local tax compliance with external CPA firms
- Lead the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, long-range planning, and headcount planning
- Build and maintain financial models to support pricing, hiring, compensation, investment, and other strategic decisions
- Manage the company’s cash position, liquidity, and runway, including a 13-week cash flow forecast
- Monitor burn, working capital, collections, and significant upcoming payments
- Manage banking relationships and payment approval processes
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reporting to the CEO, leadership team, and board




- Partner with department leaders on financial performance, spending, margins, hiring, and other key business decisions
- Support fundraising and investor diligence, including financial models, historical financials, data rooms, and investor requests
- Lead the finance systems roadmap, including ERP selection and implementation, AP and expense automation, and reporting infrastructure
- Build scalable finance processes that improve accuracy, visibility, and efficiency as the company grows
- Identify financial and operational risks early, including runway, customer concentration, collections, and covenant exposure, and work with leadership on mitigation plans

What We're Looking For

- 7+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including 3+ years leading and developing a finance or accounting team
- Experience across both accounting and FP&A; , rather than specializing exclusively in one area
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), leases (ASC 842), and stock-based compensation (ASC 718)
- Experience serving as a senior finance partner to founders, CEOs, or boards, including presenting financial results and recommendations
- Hands-on experience with cash forecasting, liquidity management, and runway planning
- Strong ERP experience with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, or a comparable platform
- Experience with multi-entity accounting and consolidation
- Experience hiring, managing, and developing accountants and/or finance analysts
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to work directly with US-based leadership
- Ability to maintain meaningful overlap with US business hours
- CPA, CA, ACCA, CIMA, Contador Público, or equivalent professional qualification strongly preferred




- Experience at a venture-backed or PE-backed US company, particularly from Seed through Series C, preferred
- Big 4 or similar public accounting experience followed by industry experience preferred
- Direct experience with a fundraise, first audit, or ERP implementation is a plus
- SaaS or recurring-revenue experience, including ARR, NRR, deferred revenue, and unit economics, is a plus
- Experience with US multi-state tax, international entities, or transfer pricing is a plus
- Familiarity with modern finance tools such as Ramp, Brex, Bill.com, Rippling, Gusto, Carta, and FloQast is a plus

Who This Role Is For This role is well suited to a finance leader who enjoys operating close to the business.

You should be comfortable moving between accounting detail and higher-level financial planning, building processes as the company grows, and working directly with senior leadership. You should be able to identify issues early, communicate them clearly, and provide practical recommendations rather than simply reporting the numbers.
