Our team has experience across companies including Lyft, Ramp, and SoftBank. We work with professionals throughout the placement process, from role alignment and interview preparation through onboarding and ongoing career development.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations for a high-growth US company. This is a hands-on accounting leadership role responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the regional books, the close process, financial reporting, reconciliations, and coordination with local accounting, tax, payroll, and external advisory partners.

You will work closely with US-based finance leadership while managing accounting requirements across multiple countries, currencies, entities, and local reporting environments.

The ideal candidate brings strong accounting fundamentals, experience working across international entities, and the ability to manage regional accounting operations while maintaining consistent standards across markets.

What You'll Do

- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close across LATAM and Philippines entities
- Own the regional general ledger and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records
- Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations across cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, and intercompany accounts
- Oversee intercompany transactions, eliminations, foreign currency remeasurement, and multi-entity consolidation
- Ensure accounting practices comply with applicable local requirements and company accounting policies
- Coordinate local statutory accounting, tax filings, payroll accounting, and other regulatory requirements with external advisors and local service providers
- Work with US finance leadership to ensure regional accounting is aligned with group reporting and US GAAP requirements where applicable
- Review revenue, expenses, accruals, prepayments, and other significant accounting entries for completeness and accuracy
- Manage and review the work of accountants and other accounting team members across the region
- Coordinate external audits, statutory audits, tax reviews, and other financial reviews

- Maintain accounting policies, procedures, close checklists, and internal controls across regional entities
- Identify accounting and operational issues early and drive them through to resolution
- Improve accounting processes and introduce automation to reduce manual work and improve the close cycle
- Support ERP implementations, entity setup, chart-of-accounts design, and accounting system improvements
- Partner with FP&A; and US finance leadership to ensure management reporting reconciles with accounting results
- Serve as the primary accounting point of contact for regional finance teams, US leadership, external auditors, tax advisors, and other accounting partners

What We're Looking For

- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant experience owning or leading accounting operations
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting, with experience supporting US GAAP reporting preferred
- Direct experience managing accounting across multiple LATAM countries and/or the Philippines
- Strong experience with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Experience with multi-entity accounting, intercompany transactions, consolidations, and foreign currency accounting
- Strong reconciliation and financial reporting skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies through to root cause
- Experience managing local statutory accounting, tax, payroll, and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions
- Experience working with external accounting firms, auditors, tax advisors, and local service providers
- Strong ERP experience with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Xero, or a comparable platform
- Experience reviewing and developing accountants or accounting teams
- Experience working directly with US-based finance leadership or global finance organizations
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to maintain meaningful overlap with US business hours
- CPA, CA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent accounting qualification strongly preferred

- Experience in a multinational, venture-backed, PE-backed, or high-growth company preferred
- Big 4, mid-tier audit, accounting firm, or outsourced accounting experience is a plus
- SaaS, technology, or recurring-revenue accounting experience is a plus
- Experience with LATAM statutory reporting, including local GAAP requirements and tax compliance, is a plus
- Experience with Philippine accounting, BIR compliance, and local statutory reporting is a plus

- Familiarity with modern accounting and finance tools such as NetSuite, Ramp, Brex, Bill.com, Deel, Rippling, Gusto, Avalara, or similar platforms is a plus
- Experience with ERP migration, accounting system implementation, or close automation is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Who This Role Is For This role is suited to an accounting leader who is comfortable operating across multiple countries and navigating the differences between local accounting requirements and a global finance organization.

You should be detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture, comfortable managing multiple entities and deadlines, and confident working with both local accounting teams and senior finance leaders in the US.

The idóneo candidate can identify issues early, communicate them clearly, and build processes that keep regional accounting accurate and consistent as the business grows.
