We work closely with ophthalmologists, oculoplastic surgeons, hospitals, and patients to provide custom ocular prostheses (artificial eyes) with exceptional compassion and clinical care.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for a friendly, professional, and highly organized Patient Care Coordinator to become the first point of contact for our patients. This role is essential in ensuring every patient receives outstanding service from their very first interaction with our practice.

About the Role

As our Patient Care Coordinator (remote), you'll play a critical role in creating an outstanding patient experience. You'll answer inbound calls, schedule appointments, verify insurance benefits, and support our office staff across our Utah and Kansas offices.

This is a patient-facing administrative position requiring exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to help others.

Responsibilities

1. Patient Communication




- Answer inbound calls professionally and courteously
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
- Return voicemail messages promptly
- Answer general patient questions
- Route calls to the appropriate team member when necessary
- Deliver a compassionate, 5-star patient experience

2. Scheduling & Patient Support
- Confirm upcoming appointments
- Contact patients regarding annual follow-up visits
- Fill cancelled appointment openings
- Update patient demographic and insurance information
- Coordinate schedules with our clinical team

3. Health Insurance Verification
- Verify health insurance eligibility and benefits
- Contact insurance companies regarding patient coverage
- Obtain prior authorizations when needed
- Document benefit information accurately
- Assist with insurance claim follow-up

4. Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Update internal tracking spre
