We are looking for an experienced Procurement Engineer to join a growing operation in the harnessing industry. This position will serve as a key procurement representative, ensuring the continuous supply of critical components while developing sourcing strategies, managing suppliers, reducing costs, and supporting new product introductions.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for wire harness commodities, including wire, cable, connectors, terminals, plastic housings, molded components, protective coverings, and associated hardware.
- Identify, qualify, and develop local, regional, and general suppliers.
- Lead RFQ/RFP processes, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and long-term agreements.
- Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Identify alternate sources and substitute components in collaboration with Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
- Support NPI, engineering changes, supplier qualification, prototypes, and production ramp-ups.
- Develop cost models, analyze quotations,



and lead cost-reduction and value-engineering initiatives.
- Manage supplier capacity, capability, quality, delivery, and supply-chain risks.
- Resolve material shortages and supply disruptions while supporting lead-time and inventory optimization.
- Coordinate tooling, samples, PPAP submissions, and supplier qualification activities.
- Maintain accurate procurement information within ERP systems.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supplier development, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the wiring harness industry, automotive electrical systems, electronics, EMS, or cable assembly products.
- Strong knowledge of wire harness components and manufacturing processes.
