MK Consulting is looking for an Accounting Assistant with QuickBooks experience to support accounting, bookkeeping, and administrative operations for our clients.

We are open to full-time or part-time candidates, depending on experience, availability, and fit. We are looking for someone reliable, organized, and interested in growing with the company.

Compensation

- $900 – $1,200 USD gross per month for a full-time schedule, depending on skills, experience, and capabilities.

About the Role

We are looking for someone with a Mexican accounting background who understands Mexican accounting and tax compliance, and also has working knowledge of QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop.

This role does not require advanced U.S. accounting expertise. The U.S. side of the role is mainly bookkeeping-level work: posting expenses, classifying transactions, organizing records, reviewing activity, and keeping client books clean and updated.

The adecuado candidate has a solid Mexican accounting foundation, knows or is learning how to calculate taxes in Mexico, is comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets, and has enough English to work with U.S.-based information, documents, and systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Post, classify, and review expenses in QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop.
- Support bookkeeping work for U.S.-based clients.
- Review prior transactions and flag possible errors, inconsistencies, duplicates, or missing information.
- Organize accounting records, receipts, invoices, vendors, customers, and supporting documentation.
- Assist with Mexican tax calculations and compliance tasks, including ISR, IVA, ISN, IMSS,



and monthly declarations.
- Support basic reconciliations and transaction cleanup.
- Prepare simple reports, summaries, and internal follow-ups.
- Work with Google Workspace, Excel, and Google Sheets.
- Support administrative tasks related to accounting and client operations.
- Use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini to improve speed, organization, and accuracy when appropriate.

Requirements

- Mexican accounting background.
- Knowledge of Mexican tax calculations and declarations.
- Experience or strong understanding of ISR, IVA, ISN, IMSS, and related accounting obligations.
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop.
- Intermediate English required.
- Conversational English is a strong plus.
- Good Excel / Google Sheets skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, reliable, and willing to learn.
- Ability to work remotely with discipline and accountability.
- Comfortable using Google Workspace.
- Available for a consistent work schedule.
