This role is not about theoretical exploration. It is a mandate for strategic leadership. You will own the execution of academic strategy, establish rigorous standards, diagnose performance gaps, and develop high-performing teams to achieve tangible student outcomes. You will convert our scientific principles into operational excellence and articulate the rationale for this model on the global stage.

What You Will Be Doing

- Developing academic frameworks that bridge learning science and actionable guidance for curriculum design, motivational systems, and application functionality.

- Conducting academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure alignment, accountability, and consistent delivery of results across school teams.

- Analyzing data, conducting interviews, and performing observations to produce academic ecosystem assessments that identify high-impact obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend concrete interventions.

- Ensuring strategic coherence through planning processes, feedback mechanisms, and milestone monitoring to sustain focus on student learning objectives.





- Serving as the principal representative of 2 Hour Learning in high-profile forums, including keynote presentations and engagements with Ministries of Education, to influence integral perspectives on education.

- Producing theoretical research disconnected from measurable student outcomes or practical implementation.

- Transferring accountability for performance to middle management or external advisors.

- Depending on institutional prestige or academic theory to convince skeptical audiences.

Director Of Learning Strategy Key Responsibilities

Expand and refine 2 Hour Learning's validated academic model by aligning execution across multiple schools, elevating leadership performance standards, and establishing yourself as the authoritative public advocate for a movement founded on rigorous science and demonstrated outcomes.

Basic Requirements

- Either an advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Cognitive Science, or a related field; or an advanced degree in another field combined with an exceptional, externally recognized record of applying learning science to improve education at scale

- At least 7 years in academic or EdTech leadership roles, leading a team of staff/employees (not an informal peer leader role, such as grade-level lead); you must have been responsible for hiring, monitoring performance, coaching, and making termination decisions





- Experience driving learning outcomes for students and upholding student performance standards

- Experience applying AI or emerging technologies to improve education, such as through personalized learning, adaptive learning, AI agents, etc.

- Experience managing academic teams of 50+ people (e.g., the teams you managed directly executed curriculum, instruction, or assessment)

- Experience interacting directly with students, teachers, or school leaders in a professional setting

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
