Who we are looking for

We are looking for an Investment Associate to support the Investment Analysts of the LAC (Latin America & Caribbean) region in the analysis and monitoring of credit risk and country risk for institutions located in the regions.

The position is based in Mexico City (Mexico), with reporting line to the Regional Manager based Mexico City.

Update and maintain investments accounts, analyze operational reports and financial performance on a daily basis

Undertake KYC annual reviews of institutions where Symbiotics is invested





Collect and review financial information of existing and prospective investees to enable Due Diligence and support production of Investment Reports by Investment Analysts

Support the Investment Analysts in client relationships with each institution

Assist in writing follow-up reports on existing investees and countries of the regions

Research and monitor country related information required to produce country analysis reports and updates on local legal frameworks

Strong interest in impact finance and sustainable development, international development or financial inclusion.

Bachelor’s university degree, preferably in a finance or economics related field.

At least two years of experience in the financial sector domestic and/or abroad

Comfortable with processing and analyzing financial data (income statement, balance sheet, cash flows, business plan) and carrying out financial analysis

Knowledge of financial institutions, agribusinesses, and/or fintechs would be a plus

Proficient in English and Spanish, both written and spoken. Other languages such as French or Portuguese are a plus

Very good capacity to understand and adapt to support clients' needs

Capacity to manage competing demands and priorities, handle multiple tasks on a daily basis and work autonomously

Strong attention to detail

Excellent communication skills and good team player

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and multi-cultural workplace

Mexican national or valid Work Permit is required
