Main Responsibilities Support packaging development for new vehicle projects from initial container concept through series availability. Develop and coordinate packaging concepts for special containers, steel containers, in-house containers, standard packaging and one-way packaging. Manage concept approvals and ensure packaging concepts meet the required BMW standards and project requirements. Coordinate tenders for prototype, pre-series and series containers, including preparation of technical documentation and offer comparisons. Organize and support sample container reviews and acceptances at the plant and at container suppliers. Track container availability, maturity status and project milestones until handover to series production. Coordinate standard and alternative packaging concepts together with component suppliers and internal departments. Maintain the required packaging documentation and system status for the assigned containers / part families. Provide regular project status updates and escalate delays or open issues early. Work closely with Packaging Planning, Logistics, Assembly, Purchasing, Quality, container suppliers and component suppliers.
Required Experience Proven experience in automotive packaging development, container planning or a comparable logistics / manufacturing role. Hands-on experience with special containers, reusable steel containers, in-house containers and standard packaging. Experience with container development processes such as concept approval, prototype/sample approval, series tendering and container availability tracking. Experience working in automotive vehicle launch or industrialization projects. Good understanding of automotive logistics and production processes. Experience working directly with OEM departments and external suppliers.
Experience with BMW packaging processes and systems is strongly preferred. Experience with JIS / Just-in-Sequence packaging concepts is a strong plus.

Experience with the following tools is highly relevant: PACKAssistant PRISMA Vis View BHM-THP / SNP LPCore CATIA Auto CAD SAP, especially ME23 N and SRM
Additional experience with tools such as Aplau S, Container Management System (CMS) or BMW Behälterstrom App is a plus.
Project / Methods Knowledge Milestone tracking and maturity management (Reifegradmanagement). Change management and tracking of technical changes. Supplier coordination and follow-up. Structured status reporting. Issue escalation and corrective action tracking. Coordination of several containers / part families in parallel. Required Skills and Competencies Structured and independent way of working. Strong coordination and follow-up skills. Comfortable working with several internal departments and external suppliers at the same time. Good technical understanding and ability to review packaging concepts and documentation. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Willingness to travel to the plant, container suppliers and potentially other production locations when required.
