**Y**our New Role**
- The position exists to ensure that the company's content assets are accurately accounted for, which helps the company make informed financial decisions and maintain compliance with regulations.
The senior accountant for DTC Content is responsible for maintaining and accounting for WBD's Direct to Consumer content assets and amortization expenses.
Include Cash payments and reconciliations.
This individual ensures that these assets are properly recorded and reported in the financial statements, and compliance with accounting standards and laws.
This role will ensure all deliverables are completed timely, and accurately.
**Your Role Accountabilities**
- Prepare accruals and other manual journal entries and related supporting documents, which include evidence of controls performed in SAP/PeopleSoft.
- Prepare supporting files to analyze the monthly activity of assigned accounts.




Identify and highlight relevant P&L; variances between the current month and the YTD average.
Report those variances to Accounting Manager.
- Prepare monthly reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts.
Ensure appropriate supporting documentation is maintained.
- Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to assist the Accounting Manager and other team members to cover any information request for internal (SOX-Internal Audit-GBS Management) or external (Auditors, Tax, Legal, or Statutory) filing purposes.
- Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Suggest those changes to the Accounting Manager.
- Assist in special projects including the system implementation of SAP S/4HANA and redesign processes that are currently performed in Peoplesoft.
Prepare and maintain accounting process documentation.
**- Qualifications and Experience**
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or equivalent
- 2 years of accounting/audit experience
- Fluent in English
- Experience in working with all levels of management including project managers
- Experience preparing and reviewing general ledger account reconciliations
- Experience with monthly and quarterly financial reporting and variance analysis
**- Preferred**:
- Master's degree and/or CPA
- 2+ Content accounting or media experience
- Previous knowledge and experience with ERP Systems (SAP or PeopleSoft)
- Good knowledge of asset classification and experience in planning and executing audits
- Strong understanding of general ledger and sub ledger
