About Omirant
Omirant Systems is creating a new category: Site Infrastructure Management (SIM) — always-on remote monitoring, diagnosis, and autonomous remediation of the physical IP infrastructure that runs multi-site operations: networks, security and access control, energy, POS, A/V, OT and other endpoints.
Physical sites became completely IP-dependent, but they're still serviced the old reactive way — a device breaks, someone eventually notices, a truck gets dispatched days later. Most of those failures are fixable remotely. We replace that model it with a 24/7, AI agent-driven NOC and a national field network for the rare times truck rolls are actually needed.
Role Description The Senior Network Engineer role is a full-time, hybrid position based in Mexico City.
You will personally run the early NOC operation — hands-on, in the weeds, doing the troubleshooting and handling documentation — and simultaneously build the machine that lets us scale it: the playbooks, agent orchestration logic, the knowledge base, and eventually the team of operators underneath you.
Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and other network appliances; monitoring network performance and availability; and troubleshooting complex issues across WAN, LAN, and wireless networks. The Senior Network Engineer will collaborate closely with the leadership team to build scalable monitoring standards, enhance network security controls, and create documentation and runbooks that enable rapid incident response.
Qualifications
- Advanced Troubleshooting abilities: diagnosing and resolving complex network performance, connectivity, and configuration issues. Switching, routing, VLANs, DHCP/DNS, Wi-Fi,
and reading a network well enough to isolate a fault remotely.
- Hands-on experience with common enterprise networking technologies (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar), monitoring tools, and ticketing systems.
- Real remote-access and remediation experience: SNMP (read and sensor config), SSH, VPN, and working across vendor device portals.
- Direct exposure to the device classes we cover — networking plus at least a strong subset of CCTV/NVR, access control, UPS/PDU, POS, or IoT.
- Genuinely comfortable in the weeds: you'd rather resolve the incident and document it than delegate it, at this stage.
- The instinct to systematize — you naturally turn a one-off fix into a repeatable procedure.
- Clear technical communication in Spanish and English
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP, or similar) are a plus.
- Experience supporting and monitoring multi-site or retail environments across LATAM
Why This Role The work compounds. Every incident you resolve becomes a documented procedure, and every procedure makes the next fix faster — for you, for the operators you'll hire, and for the AI agents that run on top of what you build. You're not maintaining someone else's legacy mess; you're setting the technical standard for a category we are building.
What we offer
- An early seat with real ownership of the operating model, the knowledge base, and eventually the team — you define how it works, not just execute someone else's spec.
- Competitive base compensation
- Modern, AI-native tooling — you'll work with AI agents as part of the operation, shaping what they learn rather than fighting legacy systems.
- Direct line to the CEO and a genuine say in how the company's core operation is built.
