Latam Payroll Specialist

The Latam Payroll Specialist is responsible for supporting the accurate and compliant execution of payroll operations across designated countries within the Latin America region. This role acts as a trusted partner for employees, internal stakeholders, and external payroll providers, ensuring efficient payroll delivery, compliance with local regulations, and a positive employee experience.

Working closely with the Integral Payroll Director, the Payroll Specialist contributes to the continuous improvement of payroll processes, supports regional payroll initiatives, and helps ensure alignment between local payroll operations and the organization's global payroll strategy.

Responsibilities

- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll across assigned LATAM countries, including salary calculations, variable compensation, allowances, deductions, and statutory payments.
- Maintain compliance with local labor legislation, tax regulations, and payroll-related statutory requirements in each country of responsibility.
- Serve as the main point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, providing timely and accurate support to employees and stakeholders.
- Partner with local payroll vendors and service providers to ensure seamless payroll execution and resolution of payroll issues.
- Review payroll outputs and reconcile discrepancies before payroll finalization.
- Maintain payroll records, documentation, and reporting in accordance with company policies and data privacy regulations.




- Support internal and external payroll audits by ensuring proper documentation and compliance controls are in place.
- Collaborate with HR, Benefits, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure accurate payroll inputs and deductions.
- Prepare and analyze payroll reports, metrics, and reconciliations for management and business stakeholders.
- Participate in payroll transformation initiatives, process improvements, systems enhancements, and payroll implementation projects.
- Identify opportunities to streamline payroll operations and enhance service quality across the region.

Requirements

- 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably supporting multiple countries within LATAM.
- Fluent English required; Spanish is a strong advantage.
- Strong understanding of LATAM payroll legislation, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Experience working with external payroll vendors and managing payroll-related service delivery.
- Previous experience processing multi-country payroll is highly preferred.
- Experience with HR systems and payroll reporting tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Payroll certifications are considered a plus.
