**Summary**
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Review customer requests for quotes, technical drawings, and project specifications to determine the scope of work.
- Estimate material costs based on quantity, type, and supplier pricing or coordinate with an Applications Engineer as needed.
- Determine labor hours required for production, including fabrication, assembly, and finishing, using established labor rates or coordinate with an Applications Engineer as needed.
- Incorporate overhead costs such as equipment usage, facility maintenance, and quality control into estimates.
- Develop detailed cost breakdowns outlining key components contributing to total project costs.
- Prepare accurate and competitive price quotes, including delivery timelines and payment terms.
- Collaborate with sales, procurement, and Applications Engineers to ensure proposals align with customer needs, project specifications, and cost competitiveness.
- Maintain organized documentation of estimates and related communications in ERP/CRM systems, including quote notes, exceptions, and clarifications.
- Participate in training sessions to develop product knowledge and estimating proficiency.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word) and ERP systems (EPICOR experience is a plus).
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, and finishing.
- Ability to analyze basic data and calculate costs with accuracy.
- Familiarity with interpreting engineering drawings.
**Education and Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to cost estimating.
