As a Technical Support Engineer - Coiled Tubing , you will be the technical point of contact for field operations, providing expert support throughout the entire work cycle. You will provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, operational support, and knowledge transfer to ensure the successful execution of coiled tubing operations.
You will also collaborate closely with field personnel, customers, and Engineering and Technology teams to drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction. This role will also be responsible for ensuring the correct application of Baker Hughes technical standards, promoting the capture of lessons learned, and supporting the effective resolution of complex operational challenges.
As a Technical Support Engineer – Coiled Tubing, you will be responsible for:
- Ensure compliance with the Manage the Job Cycle (MtJC) process in all assigned operations.
- Act as a Technical Expert (Subject Matter Expert - SME) in Versátil Pipe technologies, systems and methodologies.
- Provide technical support through remote assistance, phone calls, review of operating programs, reports, and technical documentation.
- Provide 24/7 technical support during critical operations or incidents requiring immediate intervention.
- Manage the resolution of technical problems after the execution of the service from beginning to end, ensuring a timely response and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with business leaders and key stakeholders to define technical requirements, review operational needs, and communicate analysis results and learnings derived from the operation.
- Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, supporting and supervising technical teams to ensure compliance with established scope, quality, and timelines.
- Provide support to various clients within the region, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and service expectations.
- Document and share best practices, case studies, lessons learned,
and technical knowledge within the organization.
- Investigate operational failures that require the participation of Engineering or Technology teams, ensuring the implementation of appropriate corrective actions.
- Issue technical alerts when unfamiliar situations arise that may affect the quality of service or the integrity of the well.
- Provide training, mentoring, and technical support to operational staff and other technical resources.
- Communicate operational findings, technical problems, and lessons learned to the Engineering and Technology teams.
- Support projects for operational improvement, implementation of new technologies, and updates to procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Service Delivery standards , HSE , operational integrity and product line requirements.

To succeed in this role, you will need to:
- Have a bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics ( STEM ).
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in Flexible Piping , within Pressure Pumping or related areas.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Coiled Pipe operations, including at least 3 years in design, planning or technical support roles for well interventions.
- Demonstrate experience in resolving complex technical problems and providing customer support after service delivery.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Being able to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrate the ability to develop, guide, and mentor other collaborators.
- Have an intermediate level of English , with the ability to communicate technically and prepare reports.
- Be available to provide support outside of working hours when operations require it.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of Flexible Pipe technologies and Service Delivery requirements.
- Significant operational experience in Flexible Tubing or related services within Pressure Pumping.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the processes of drilling, completion, intervention and well completion .
- Experience in the use of digital tools, data analysis platforms and technical reporting systems.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in complex operating environments.
- Strong customer management skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
