New company in SOUTH EASTERN TIJUANA is looking for a:Autonomous Production Unit manager (APU) Manager – Cable Assembly is essentially the leader of a self-contained production unit dedicated to cable assembly.Products: Harnesses, wire sets, connectors, and complex cable assemblies for industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical, and industrial.This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, ensuring production targets are met, and fostering a culture of continuous improvementThe adecuado candidate will bring strong cable assembly technical expertise, leadership acumen, and a proven track record in high-volume, quality-driven manufacturing environments.Operational Leadership: Oversee daily cable assembly production, ensuring adherence to output, quality, and delivery goals.Production,Manufacturing Engineering,Quality Inspection,Production Materials ControlProcess Optimization: Implement lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and problem-solving methodologies to improve efficiency and reduce waste.Continuous Improvement,Production Scheduling.Develop team capacity to support product transfers and business growthCollaborate closely with cross-functional teamsPerformance Monitoring: Track KPIs such as productivity, scrap rates,



on-time delivery, and safety incidents; report results to senior management.Team Management: Lead and develop operators, technicians, and support staff; manage training, performance reviews, and workforce planning.Qualifications & RequirementsFluent in EnglishMinimum 8 years of operations experience in cable assembly manufacturing, with exposure to one or more of the following industries: Automotive, Consumer & Commercial Electronics (CC&CE;), Industrial, or Medical.Education: BS degree in Engineering,Proven track record in managing cross-functional teamsincluding production, engineering, quality, and materials control.Adaptable and flexible - comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment, and willing to work overtime as required to meet production deadlines and business needs.
.Proven leadership experience managing production teams in high-volume operations.Strong knowledge of cable assembly processes (cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, molding, testing).
Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement practices.
