Responsibilities
About the role:
The Accounting Portfolio Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely accounting of the product portfolio, providing support across Retail, Leasing and Insurance businesses.
Working under the leadership of the Portfolio Accounting Supervisor, this position will be responsible for preparing the financial reporting, internal controls and accounting analysis aligned with GM Financial (GMF) accounting policy and supporting Business Process Excellence initiatives across portfolio accounting activities. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both internal (operations, tax, etc.) and external (system development team, OEM, etc.) counterparts.
In This Role You Will
- Perform daily accounting activities for assigned product portfolios (Retail, Leasing, and/or Insurance), ensuring accurate balances and timely resolution of reconciling items, with no items outstanding beyond 60 days.
- Ensure the timely completion of monthly accounting reconciliations for both key and non-key accounts.
