We're Hiring: Transportation Broker Assistant

About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Transportation Broker Assistant to join a growing logistics team supporting freight brokerage operations across North America.
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in freight brokerage and load coordination who can independently manage loads, communicate with carriers, negotiate rates, verify carrier compliance, and track shipments from pickup through delivery.
You'll work directly with the head of the customer's book of business, supporting the day-to-day operation and gradually taking on more responsibility as you build confidence in the role. This is not an entry-level position and requires someone who already understands the freight brokerage process and can work independently with minimal training.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and post freight loads
Source, qualify, and select carriers for available shipments
Negotiate carrier rates and secure equipment
Perform carrier due diligence and verify carrier authority and insurance
Review and verify required carrier paperwork and documentation
Enter and maintain accurate load and carrier information in the TMS
Dispatch loads and coordinate transportation activities
Track shipments from pickup through final delivery
Monitor load status and proactively address issues or delays
Communicate effectively with carriers and internal stakeholders
Support the management and growth of the customer's book of business
Requirements
1–2+ years of hands-on freight brokerage/load brokering experience
Previous experience within the trucking, freight brokerage, or transportation industry
Proven ability to independently receive, post, and manage loads
Experience sourcing carriers and negotiating freight rates
Knowledge of carrier authority, insurance, compliance, and required paperwork
Experience entering and managing shipment information in a TMS
Strong understanding of the freight brokerage process
Fluent English with strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision
Reliable phone/cell service and standard laptop setup
Tools / Technical Skills
ITS Dispatch by Truckstop — strongly preferred
Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
Load posting and dispatch systems
Carrier verification/compliance platforms
Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
Freight brokerage and load management tools
Experience with another TMS can be transferable, but the candidate will ultimately be expected to work with ITS Dispatch by Truckstop.

Compensation
Payroll (16K MXN – 19K MXN) // Direct (20K MXN – 24K MXN) + Benefits
Schedule
Monday–Friday | Approximately 8 hours/day
Candidates must be versátil with their working hours based on business needs and may occasionally be required to provide coverage during different U.S. time zones or on weekends.
Important Note
This is not an entry-level opportunity. Candidates must have previous hands-on experience brokering freight loads. General logistics experience without freight brokerage experience will not be sufficient.
