Quality Systems Sr Engineer Machining

Objective

The Quality Systems Sr Engineer – Machining will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) within the machining operations. This role ensures compliance with automotive quality standards and requirements while supporting quality performance, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

We are looking for candidates with extensive experience in Quality Management Systems, strong knowledge of automotive quality standards and Core Tools, and the ability to lead audits, improvement initiatives, and cross-functional activities in a manufacturing environment.

Main Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with applicable automotive quality standards and requirements.
Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, BIQ, and MSA requirements.
Plan, coordinate, and execute internal audits, including follow-up of findings and closure of corrective actions.




Lead quality audits and coordinate corrective actions to ensure effective and timely closure of findings.
Apply automotive Core Tools, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC, to support quality planning and process improvement.
Apply problem-solving methodologies such as 8D and DMAIC to identify root causes and implement improvement actions.
Coordinate quality improvement projects and the deployment of changes within the Quality Management System.
Manage quality documentation and change control processes, including the use of tools for QMS administration.
Analyze quality data and performance indicators, including PPM, customer satisfaction, audit performance, and cost of poor quality.
Conduct risk analysis and identify opportunities for systemic improvement based on business and customer requirements.
Coordinate Quality Management System activities across two or more plants, ensuring alignment and consistency.
