The Transportation Capacity team seeks a results-driven Program Manager to lead planning initiatives across Amazon Mexico's transportation network. This role drives network optimization, cross-functional execution, and data-driven decision-making to ensure cost-efficient package movement at scale.
You will own one or more planning verticals — Labor Planning, Volume Planning, or Middle Mile Planning — developing capacity plans, optimizing resource utilization, and delivering actionable insights that improve network performance against OP2 targets.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop and execute short-to-mid term capacity plans (labor, volume, or middle mile) ensuring network readiness to meet demand without creating restrictions
- Own weekly productivity metrics by optimizing utilization, route frequency, headcount allocation, or trailer fill rates against OP2 targets; identify and close gaps between planned and presente performance
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA)
for cost overruns and capacity gaps; deliver remediation plans with clear owners, timelines, and recurrence prevention measures
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sort Center Operations, Fulfillment Centers, Network Design, OTR Planning, ATS, and Finance to align capacity with upstream volume signals and downstream delivery requirements
- Generate and deliver weekly Flash reports with performance summaries and action plans for senior leadership review
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce manual planning time, minimize re-work, and increase automation through tool development and system integration
- Manage cost trade-off decisions by quantifying the impact of speed vs. cost vs. utilization across the network
- Translate demand signals (volume forecasts, labor demand, truck requirements) into actionable capacity plans across all lane types and node categories
