**Facility Manager**
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Facility Manager manages, and coordinates activities of the facility crew and contracted trades/service suppliers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines and equipment. This position is also responsible for maintenance of buildings and utility systems by performing duties personally, or through subordinates and contracted trades/service suppliers. The Facility Manager selects, trains, coaches, counsels, and disciplines subordinates. The incumbent represents engineering and validation projects and participates in continuous improvement projects in support of the Quality System. The Facility Maintenance Manager is directly responsible for maintenance supply procurement. The Facility Manager reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.
Job Roles required of the position:
- **Manager**: Maintains quality service by enforcing organization standards, and providing guidance to subordinates. Actively supports the quality and business requirements of the EMS and Quality Systems.
- **Maintain & Operate: Water System, HVAC/Chillers, Boiler/Steam/Env heat, DCS System, CCA System**: Provides oversight to direct reports performing this job role and assumes accountability for the work performed. Actively reviews reports and documents for compliance to requirements.
- **Facility Maintenance**:Provides oversight to direct reports performing this job role and assumes accountability for the work performed. Actively review reports and documents for compliance to requirements and troubleshoots issues. Provides hands-on training on various systems. Ensures that all systems operate and run in a compliant manner with proper preventive maintenance schedule.




- **Engineer & Validation**: Represents engineering and validation for new systems and equipment by providing technical information and review for URS documents. Supports engineering and validation efforts with personnel resources. Writes and revises procedures to support new systems or new product realization projects.
- **Purchasing**: Uses the purchasing system to procure production and maintenance supplies.
- **DCR System**: Actively uses the DCR System to change or add new document requirements. Coaches direct reports in the writing and revision of documents.
- **CIMP System**: Provides direct support and management of continuous improvement and Kaisen events and projects.
- **NCR System**: Supports the nonconformance system through reporting of Nonconformances and supporting Quality in investigation activities. Provides reports and communication based on investigation findings.
- **Training**: Provides training to direct reports to support continued competency. Monitors employee progress and competency to promote continued employee growth.
- **Other duties as assigned.**
**EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE**:
Minimum Requirements: BS in Engineering or in another discipline with equivalent experience, with 5+ years’ experience in Facility management and hands-on experience with major facility equipment and systems.



Experience in ISO execution and Quality Systems preferred.
**Skills/Qualifications**: Performance Management, Staffing, Management Proficiency, Coaching, Developing Standards, Process Improvement, Decision Making, Troubleshooting, Quality Management, Project coordination and management, P&ID; reading, CAD or similar engineering software.
**LANGUAGE SKILLS**: Required reading, writing and speaking fluently in English and preparing reports.
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**:While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is required to sit, stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, lift objects, and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, and kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. **WORK ENVIRONMENT**:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The employee is exposed to laboratory chemical reagents and microbial cultures. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate; some activities require personal protective equipment, which is provided. Pay: From $35.00 per hour
