**Introduction to role**:
Join us at AstraZeneca's Integral Supply Chain and Strategy (GSC&S;) team, where we are committed to improving health outcomes by ensuring our life-changing medicines reach patients as quickly, efficiently, and accurately as possible. As a Lean & Capabilities specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving process improvements and implementing high-priority people capability initiatives within GSC&S; operations. This is your chance to contribute to a team that is continuously pushing the boundaries of science and manufacturing!
**Accountabilities**:
In this role, you will collaborate with the wider GSC&S; Lean Digital Excellence team and leaders in the function to develop plans and execute performance improvement activities. You will utilize various Lean and Six Sigma tools to diagnose, analyze, and improve business processes. You will also promote a culture of continuous improvement,
challenging the status quo, and aligning strategies with GSS&S.; Additionally, you will design and manage the implementation of capabilities-building initiatives within Global Supply Chain to meet agreed deliverables and outcomes.
**Essential Skills/Experience**:
- 2-4 years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain Management, or any related functional environment
- Exposure to and a passion for learning, coaching development and/or upskilling others
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience working in teams, across functions and across geographies
- Excellent interpersonal, communications and influencing skills
- Facility to use and learn digital work tools like Smartsheet, Bright Ideas, Power BI, MS Forms, learning experience platforms and learning management systems.
**Desirable Skills/Experience**:
- Yellow Belt (or higher) with formal training
- Working knowledge of the DMAIC process and Lean Tools such as 5S, value stream mapping, Kaizen Blitz, etc.
