For our client, a leading general organization within the manufacturing industry, we are looking for an **IT MANAGER**.
**Mission**:The IT Manager is responsible to understand the business strategy and operational needs and align business strategy with IT technology roadmaps. Acts as the liaison between central IT and business process owners. Provides oversight of plant IT and drives prioritization of IT function.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- The primary responsibilities of this position are the management of IT systems, business relations, requirements, people, and processes to ensure effective operations in alignment with
business objectives.
- Acts as a single point of contact for Information Technology area for all business needs.
- Providing leadership to ensure timely resolutions of technical errors and system and process breakdowns and providing valid solutions and recommendations to ensure all business operations run smoothly
- Provides Support to systems and processes enabling manufacturing and production operations.
- Cloud and Virtualization architecture and operations expertise. Ability to design, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a Virtual environment based on VMWare ESXi
- Ensures the appropriate people are working on the issue and the appropriate business team members are informed of the status
- Ensuring Service Level Agreement is well defined, communicated and consistently meeting expectations.
- Maintaining on-going relationships with suppliers/vendors and conducting a cost-benefit analysis on all IT-related projects to ensure maximum return on investment.
- Ensuring privacy and security are protected with policy development and security
mechanism
- Recommending information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating desired organization outcomes, identifying problems and potential issues, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements
- Accomplishing financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions
- Maintaining a quality IT service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
- Ensures communication and coordination with leaders of other IT groups.
- Maintains detailed knowledge of the key business processes and systems employed by the business.
- Identifying process and performance metrics improvements
- Help ensure growth and success by providing mentoring and training in the established processes, policies, and procedures, as well as tools and templates utilized in the department
- Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Bachelor’s degree / Master’s degree in the field of engineering/computer science, or equivalent
- 5 Years of management experience working in IT for manufacturing companies
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Business processes and systems such as ERP / SAP, IFS, PLM, MES
- Knowledge on the SAP system with Cross-functional knowledge is added value
- Experience administrating and operating a VMWare, Windows Server environment
- Ability to communicate complex problems in a non-technical simplified manner and in business impact terms
- Solves difficult problems with effective solutions using rigorous logic and methods
- Proven technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Expertise in running medium to large-scale projects with an excellent understanding of project management processes and procedures, analyst methodologies, best practices, and change management
- Understanding of factory planning, production control, materials management, and quality management is beneficial
- Strong communication, leadership, and coaching skills
- Provides direct, complete, and “actionable” feedback to others, including those in
management positions.
- Business English language proficiency, and ability to work well in a multinational environment
- Capable of making tough decision on a timely basis
