We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of
**Manager US Ethics Office**
**Role purpose**:
The Enterprise Compliance team in Mexico provides direct support to the US Compliance function which enables the business to deliver sustainable growth by embedding a risk management culture to comply with letter and spirit of relevant regulations to deliver fair outcomes for customers.
You’ll support the US Compliance team and the Compliance Risk Management Program (CRMP) within the Enterprise Compliance function. This role will support the US Ethics team in enterprise-wide compliance activities in the following areas (not limited to): Whistleblower; Personal Account Dealing (including Outside Business Activities (OBAs) and Private Investments (PIs)) Conduct; Regulation O, Political Contribution activities.
**Main activities**:
- Lead activities unique to the Enterprise Compliance function, supporting the broader Compliance function and beyond.
- Support the execution of the Outside Business Activities reviews. Will run an Outside Business Activities review meeting (with support from the Ethics team).
- Track Whistleblower cases, assignments, and Key Performance Indicators. Coordinate closely with the US Employee Relations and Financial Crime Investigation teams.
- Support Personal Account Dealing activities within the system, My Compliance Office.
- Maintains HSBC internal control standards,
including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
- As appropriate for the role, ensures alignment with regulatory requirements, the Compliance of Group policies and all related policies and procedures.
- With senior management assist to manage risk with adherence to department procedures and compliance with state and regulatory licensing laws, rules, and regulations.
- Provides support to ensure assigned area is aligned to regulatory requirements, the Compliance Manual and other Group policies
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Strong leadership skills, and the ability to work independently while influencing stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including organizing and running meetings.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to support decisions with sound reasoning and clearly articulated justifications.
- Strong collaboration, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to think laterally and solve problems.
- Strong knowledge of HSBC’s structure and business units.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Comfortable working in a major financial institution, within a matrix environment, including reporting internationally.
- Proficiency in English language.
