Diageo is embarking on an exciting and significant business transformation programme - Project Voyager - which will equip our business with outstanding processes, systems & data to drive our ambition to create the best performing, most trusted and respected consumer products company in the world. Project Voyager will fuel long term growth for Diageo through streamlined and simplified end to end business processes, improved decision-making capabilities as a result of cleaner, near-real-time data, all underpinned by the implementation of elite technology solutions. The programme will be delivered over a multi-year period with integral geographic reach.
Purpose of Role:
The Market/Function Change Champion will enable the realization of significant long-term benefits through their leadership of finance Mexico colleagues. By leading change across all levels of their organization, the role will drive adoption of new processes, data & technology solutions with a focus on two key areas:
The Change Champion will bring (Market/Function) leadership on the Voyager change journey, engaging and influencing managers & leaders within their organisation to pro-actively drive adoption of new processes, systems, ways of working & achieve operational stability from launch.



They will ensure Voyager is coordinated within strategy & planning within their Mexico market. The Change Champion will build & implement change journey for impacted employees in their market ensuring local users understand, feel confident and are ready for the transition to new technology solutions, improved data, simplified processes and new ways of working.
The Change Champion will collaborate with the Market Sponsor with a dotted line into Voyager’s Regional or Function Change Lead. The role will be responsible for the Market Trainer. The role will collaborate with the wider programme team - for example, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Data Support and Testers to implement change plans and support training activities. They will also support the management and delivery of the local testing plans and ensure that local data migration is validated. Main partners are end users, managers and market / function leaders.
Key Accountabilities
Build, implement and handle a change plan that drives end user adoption of Voyager-driven changes for market/function including the following:
- Engagement & influence of market / function leadership: ensure consistent understanding of Voyager (e.g. scope, benefits, changes, timelines, etc.) across the relevant leadership team, resulting in 1) positive, pro-active sponsorship of the programme to their teams & 2) full integration within the business plan.
- Through deep understanding of their business unit & the Voyager business transformation,



the Change Champion will confidently articulate how process, system and data changes will impact their teams. Working with the wider Voyager Project team, they will build and lead execution of change mitigation activities and plans (e.g., communications, training) with the goal of ensuring adoption of process & system solutions from launch.
- Support (Regional/CF) Training Lead in conducting the training needs assessment for (Market/Sub Function)
- Support the onboarding of market trainers, help them identify (Market/Sub Function) training needs, mapping of local user groups to learning courses & execution of training plans.
- Support the localization and validation of end user role mapping for (Market/Sub Function), ensuring people have the right system access at the right time to sustain day to day operational activities and do their job effectively. Through partnership with and mentorship from the Global team, evaluate the segregation of duties and SARBOX analysis, ensuring end user compliance with local laws.
- Coordinate & report local readiness activities using globally provided tools. Activities include:
- Management of local test plan and resources for UAT
- Support in UAT, as required
- Validation of test scenarios, as required
- Validation of local data quality and migration, in alignment with global data strategy, as required
- Provision of local input into Readiness Assessment
