Job Summary
Seeking a Design Supervisor responsible for overseeing the performance of the Design team, ensuring training and feedback, and maintaining design standards for quality and efficiency. Must be organized, proficient in MS Excel, familiar with internal joist/deck design programs, experienced in the steel joist industry, and able to manage and schedule work effectively, with proficiency in English and Spanish as a plus.
Responsible for performance of Design team; and ensuring Designers receive appropriate training and performance feedback.
Maintain, develop, and communicate design standards and practices where necessary to ensure quality and efficiency.
Communicate regularly with Engineering Manager and other groups and personnel to ensure processes and workflow are aligned.
Be familiar with internal joist/deck design programs to facilitate training, troubleshoot problems, and design projects when necessary.
Familiarity with Steel Joist Institute and related OSHA requirements to ensure adequate designs are provided by Design team.




Skills Required
Must be willing and able to conduct regular performance reviews for Designers, discussing both positive feedback and opportunities for improvement.
Must be very organized and able to manage time effectively.
Fluent with MS Excel to assist with reporting, scheduling, and analyzing group performance and other metrics. MS Project is a plus.
Must be willing and able to effectively schedule work for the Designers to meet Customer needs and project schedules.
Proficient in English. Spanish is a plus.
Familiarity with internal joist/deck design program.
Experience in the steel joist industry.
Education/Training/Certifications
Civil PE Licensure EEUU, or able to get it a reasonable time.
High School Diploma or GED.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
