- _**Identify/select suppliers of goods and services **_
- _**Participate in negotiation of terms with suppliers such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations, etc.**_
- _**Liaise with suppliers and project managers regarding updates and details of goods**_
- _**Monitor inventory to ensure the flow of goods remains positive**_
- _**Attend meetings with the legal department to ensure any contractual obligations are favorable to the company**_
- _**Work closely with the projects team to understand details of procurement requirements**_
- _**Provide forecast to supplier to assure steady delivery long term**_
- _**Establish supplier’s evaluation criteria and perform periodic evaluations of key suppliers**_
- _**Identify/log cost savings initiatives and report on periodic basis updated savings**_
- _**Work closely with R&D; to assure alternate suppliers are available **_
- _**Coordinate, in conjunction with other areas, the resolution of any supply disruption on goods and services**_
- _**Maintain accurate ERP Planning/Buying parameters to assure proper MRP management by the Planners**_
- _**Lead interdepartmental efforts to solve supply disruption issues as they arise**_
- _**Qualify/Disqualify supplier based on supplier evaluation outcome**_
- _**Negotiations with suppliers (not global ones)

- _**Implement/Modify processes for best practices in the Planning team for a successful MRP process **_
- _**PPV’s management to minimize the impact**_

- _**Master's degree in a related field preferred**_
- _**Proven experience working as a procurement specialist in the same area required**_
- _**Additional certification in the field of procurement desired**_
- _**Strong knowledge of the industry and market conditions**_
- _**Flexible to work long hours as demanded by projects**_
- _**Able to travel to meet vendors and suppliers as necessary**_
