Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Commodity Manager Indirect - Automation located in Guadalajara, North Campus.
Reporting to the General Commodity Management Director, in this role you will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and management of regional strategies and sourcing activities to provide Flex segments and business groups with optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality, and delivery performance. Working closely with the Global Automation team / Local Management, the Commodity Manager Indirect - Automation will communicate and implement strategies, contracts, and pricing to the Americas region with an overall focus on maintaining good supplier relationships and costs to a minimum to achieve maximum advantage for the company and its customers.
What a typical day looks like:
- _ Provide solid knowledge of supply contract language and Statement Of Works_
- _ Lead global contract negotiation with automation suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, monitor existing/new frame agreements for revealing commercial opportunities, Partner with main stakeholder and Legal to ensure applicable services are covered contractually._
- _ Actively support internal executive stakeholders to meet business needs,



drive engagement with Flex sites and business units_
- _ Establish and manage long term strategic relationships with core suppliers, Conducts regular Supplier Business Reviews to establishes improvement expectations and follow up on progress._
- _ Guide the commercial selection, development and management of Core and Strategic Suppliers to meet Automation standard equipment costs and performance goals._
- _ Design and deploy programs for supplier selection, supplier performance management and supply base optimization._
- _ Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to the procurement of automation goods and services_
- _ Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, communicating regularly with other departments to ensure smooth operations as well to ensure timely manufacturing ramp on new programs._
- _ Monitor current commodity market conditions, technology roadmaps and identify supply/demand challenges. Develop, implement, and communicate strategical and tactical commodity plans internally and to Flex customers as appropriate._
- _ Provide access to leading technology, product roadmaps, technology strategies and industry trends._
- _ Provide point of escalation for Commodity issues as appropriate._
- _ Participate in the review of supplier contracts, outlining requirements and considerations._
- _ Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures,



and material control systems to optimize supply chain operations, adhering to our compliance standards._
- _ Utilize data and analytics to monitor spending patterns, identify cost improvement opportunities and optimize supplier agreements_
- _ Recognize the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques, and the product_
- _ High level participation in daily procurement activities and effective problem solving on daily issues_
- _ Be able to track, document, and communicate SOW changes to Supplier and Stakeholders on a fast-paced environment_
- _ Drive cost _reduction/improvement_ negotiations considering a Total Cost of Ownership approach._
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- _ BA/BS or equivalent work experience_
- _ Strong Knowledge in _manufacturing/Processes_ preferrable for the electronics industry_
- _ Manufacturing and Customer-facing experience including management_
- _ Strategic Supplier Development_
- _ Advanced Contract Negotiation experience_
- _ Advanced English_
- _ Advanced Program Management skills_

- _ Manufacturing and Commercial background experience required._
