Position Summary:
Oversees the day-to-day manufacturing operations performed on a shift or production line, ensuring safety, volume, quality, and cost goals are met. Provides hiring, promotion, and disciplinary recommendations, as well as performance appraisal and feedback for direct reports. Coordinates and directs the activities of the production department on a daily basis to maximize productivity and minimize costs while maintaining quality. Ensures that all security procedures are followed and metrics are met. Investigates, troubleshoots, and provides solutions to production problems. Provides direct supervision and training for production workers. It helps plan, prioritize, and manage production line maintenance or downtime to minimize disruptions to manufacturing schedules. Inspect the product to verify that production specifications are met.
Main responsibilities:
- Ensure personnel wear PPE and follow safety rules as well as operating instructions for assigned equipment.
- Assign personnel to the corresponding activities as required by the company, ensuring that individuals are properly certified for the assigned operation.
- Keep assigned staff informed of daily production goals/schedule




- Measure progress on an hourly basis and take corrective action if necessary to meet the goal
- Audit operators according to the quality plan correctly
- Report the daily progress of assigned production areas and take action for recovery when necessary
- Follow the "RIT" correctly and use it as a baseline when addressing the people responsible for any process or procedure, promote "Fair" treatment to all your subordinates
- Manage the payroll process by ensuring that people's time records are accurate and that OT is properly authorized.
Education/Experience/
**Required Skills**:
- Bachelor's Degree / Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical.
- Essential experience in metalworking / machining
- 3+ years as Production Supervisor
- Interpretation of drawings
- Advanced Excel
- Availability of schedules and/or rotation of shifts.
Travel:
- 20%
Language: Bilingual English - Spanish 80%
