Objective of the position: The Environmental Engineer has a solid technical understanding of all applicable environmental regulations for the implementation of a new project and the operation of a truck manufacturing plant The main responsibility of the position is to manage compliance with legal requirements and internal and corporate environmental procedures (procedures, on-site compliance, among others), as well as ensuring compliance with Management Systems such as ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 14064
The Environmental Engineer will supervise the operation of the Water Treatment Plants and waste storage facilities. This position is responsible for having trained and specialized unionized personnel in the environmental areas in the different shifts. He will also act as the contact for suppliers and contractors assigned to the area.




They will track established environmental indicators and work in coordination with operational areas on projects to reduce environmental impact, promoting compliance with environmental indicators.
They will coordinate environmental programs, environmental planning, impact assessments, inspections of facilities or environmental systems, as well as the design, management, and distribution throughout the Saltillo site.
- Solid knowledge of: Legal requirements in environmental matters (Federal, state, and municipal)

- Main Functions:
- Manage, review, validate and document all the legal compliance of Environmental Management System under the ISO 14001, ISO 5001, ISO 14064 and all standards applicable to the Plant.
- Manage legal compliance and environmental procedures to environmental authorities such as SEMARNAT, PROFEPA, PROPAEC, and all others applicable to the Plant and new projects.
- Design a methodology for monitoring environmental KPIs for investment projects due to adaptations to existing facilities even new buildings.
- Generate and implement projects focused on improve the environmental KPIs and maintain a stable operation and optimal conditions of our water treatment buildings.
- Lead saltillo ESG strategy
- Manage and review suppliers and contractors work regarding with hazardous and no hazardous material disposal management and water treatment equipment. Responsible for developing and implementing training for all operational personnel at the Saltillo site, in accordance with the internal environmental plan and aligned with the Truck Operations System.
- Internal advising on environmental aspects for the effective management of risks and regulatory issues, related to the handling of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- Manage an environmental work team that is in charge of all activities regarding to the operation, maintenance and improvements in the water treatment equipment and waste storage facilities.
