**Power BI Business Analyst (Insurance Industry)**
**About the Role**
**Key Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with **insurance business stakeholders** to gather and define reporting and data visualization requirements.
- Design, develop, and optimize **Power BI dashboards and reports** to provide actionable insights.
- Work with structured and unstructured **insurance datasets**, including policy, claims, underwriting, and actuarial data.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by **cleaning, transforming, and modeling insurance data**.
- Conduct in-depth **data analysis** to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within insurance operations.
- Provide recommendations based on **data-driven insights** to improve business decisions.
- Work closely with **data engineers, actuaries, and underwriters** to understand business needs and improve reporting capabilities.
- Develop and maintain **DAX queries, Power Query scripts, and data models** for effective dashboard performance.
- Ensure compliance with **insurance industry standards, data privacy, and security regulations**.
- Support troubleshooting and resolve issues related to **Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models**.
**Qualifications**
- Five or more years of experience as a Business Analyst working with Power BI.
- Strong knowledge of the insurance industry,



including claims, underwriting, actuarial, policy, and risk management data.
- Proficiency in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and SQL.
- Experience working with large datasets from insurance companies, brokers, or insurtech platforms.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance regulations in the insurance sector.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and create compelling data visualizations.
- Experience working with ETL processes and data modeling
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a 100% remote environment while covering Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.
- Strong English Communications Skills

**Duration**: 12-month contract, extendable 36+ months
**Location**: Fully remote, must cover **Eastern Standard Time (EST)** hours
**Engagement Type**: Contractor
**Salary Range**: $45,000 - $60,000 MXN NET Per month as a contractor (NO BENEFITS)
