Descripción y detalle de las actividades
- Design, develop, and optimize **fiber optic manufacturing processes**to improve efficiency and product quality.
- Oversee the **production of fiber optic cables, connectors, splicing units, and related components**.
- Implement and maintain **quality control procedures** to ensure compliance with **industry standards (e.g., ITU-T, TIA/EIA, IEC)**.
- Troubleshoot and resolve **manufacturing defects, process inefficiencies, and equipment issues**.
- Work closely with **R&D;, production teams, and suppliers** to develop and implement new fiber optic technologies.
- Conduct **failure analysis, root cause investigations, and corrective actions** for production-related issues.
- Develop and maintain **manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and process control plans**.
- Ensure compliance with **safety regulations and environmental standards** in the production facility.
- Train and support **manufacturing personnel** on fiber optic processes and best practices.
- Collaborate with **suppliers and vendors** to source high-quality raw materials and components.
Experiência y requisitos
- BS degree in Mechanical, Electronics or Industrial Engineering.
- 80% English.
- 5+ year of experience in cables and harness
- Certifications in **Lean Six Sigma, IPC-7711/7721, or fiber optic manufacturing standards**.
- Experience with **automation, robotics,



and Industry 4.0 in fiber optic production**.
- Knowledge of **ERP/MES systems and manufacturing data analysis tools**.
- Green Belt (preferable)
- Experience in **fiber optic manufacturing, process engineering, or optical component production**.
- Strong knowledge of **fiber optic materials, coatings, connectors.**:
- Hands-on experience with **fiber drawing, polishing, fusion splicing, and automated assembly**.
- Proficiency in **statistical process control (SPC), Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing principles**.
- Ability to operate and interpret data from **OTDR, interferometers, spectrometers, and other fiber testing**
**equipment**.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to improve manufacturing yield and efficiency.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
