Main responsibility:
As a Financial Analyst you will prepare comprehensive financial analyses for operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules to provide valuable insights for management decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Unit Support:
Responsible for providing financial support to a business unit with an annual production output of approximately $60M, ensuring sound financial decision-making.
Data-Driven Decision Support:
Collaborate with cost accountants, general accounting, and local management to provide data-driven insights and drive strategic decisions through financial analysis.
Financial Analysis:
Lead the analysis of local financial performance, including reviewing and interpreting financial results to identify cost reduction, productivity improvements, and profit optimization opportunities.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Oversee financial forecasting and budgeting activities for the division, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company goals.
Investment and Business Case Development:
Manage financial aspects of investments, business case development, and evaluate financial impacts to support growth and operational efficiency.
Strategic Initiative Tracking:
Track and report on the financial performance of group strategic initiatives, providing actionable insights and performance updates.
Financial Reporting & Recommendations:
Review, analyze,
and interpret the results of all financial statements, offering specific recommendations to management for cost reductions, productivity increases, and overall profit improvement.
Management Communication:
Keep senior management informed of the company’s financial performance and offer advisory on all relevant financial matters to support business objectives.
Global Collaboration:
Actively participate in Nilfisk's integral manufacturing business finance team, contributing to cross-functional knowledge sharing and the alignment of financial practices.
Qualifications & skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.- 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.- In-depth knowledge of financial statements and performance analysis.- Strong understanding of IFRS, IAS, US GAAP, and SOX 404 regulations.- Experience with SAP and financial reporting software.- Advanced Excel skills.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
