**Job Summary**
The web designer needs to work closely with each customer so they can translate the customer’s thoughts into a visually appealing design. They are also responsible for turning that design into a functional site and uploading it to a web server.

**Responsibilities**
- Meeting clients to discuss their requirements and agree a brief
- Producing sample sites
- Keeping clients up to date with the progress
- Research user journey needs
- Testing site functionality and usability
- Demonstrating and receiving feedback about draft sites
- Keeping up to date with design trends and technological, software and accessibility developments
- Advising clients on search engine optimization
- Designing graphics and logos
- Digital retouching and image editing
- Providing training and/or support once the site is signed off.
- Creating a suitable color scheme or incorporating the client’s color scheme into the design
- Coding the site’s navigation
- Designing buttons and other controls for the site
- Creating mock-ups of the site for the client’s approval
- Fixing any functionality issues, including the removal of “dead links”
- Updating and maintaining the site
- Making backup files of the site
**Requirements**:
- 2 years experience in similar position
- Degree in the field
- Proficiency in graphic design software, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other visual design tools.
- Proficiency in front-end development web programming languages such as HTML and CSS, jQuery, and JavaScript.
- Good understanding of content management systems.
- Good understanding of search engine optimization principles.
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
- Excellent visual design skills.
- Up-to-date experience with international web protocols, standards, and technologies.
- Creative and open to new ideas.
- Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques.
- Excellent communication skills Spanish/English
