The Finance & Accounting Lead will oversee financial operations, from daily accounting to long-term financial planning. This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic thinking and operational execution. You’ll partner with senior leadership to ensure sound decision-making, efficient resource allocation, and adherence to financial best practices.
Your responsibilities- Financial Management -Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes to guide strategic decisions.
- Accounting Operations - Oversee accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and monthly/annual closing.
- Compliance & Reporting - Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations; prepare accurate financial statements and regulatory filings.
- Internal Controls - Develop and maintain robust internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
- Business Partnering - Collaborate with department heads to monitor budgets, evaluate investments, and optimize costs.
- Audit & Tax - Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate filings.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of progressive experience in finance/accounting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software (D365 is a plus) and advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
