**Job Description**:
**1.**Responsibilities**:
- Performs a full scope of activities associated with the development and administration of the Payroll Department.
- Analyzes current payroll processes and procedures in order to make recommendations for improved accuracy and efficiency.
- Leads efforts in implementing solutions.
- Assists in the preparation of tax filing to ensure proper accounting and accurate calculations of hours while following all accounting and legal requirements.
- Collaborates with outsourcing partners and internal customers to ensure proper administration of payroll and tax filings.
- Accounting of payroll
- Identification of discrepancies between payroll and different proposals of Federal and State authority (Ex. Social Security,
State payroll payment)
- Ability to work with upgrades for payroll system and set up for changes in labor law
- Knowledge of different laws that allow to be prepared for future changes in payroll
- Usage of different legal systems (Idse, SUA, Fonacot)
- Follow up authority requirements.
- Leads projects related to payroll and coordinates project support.
- Develops payroll policies and procedures.
- Assists in the processing of the general payroll activities to deliver a high level of support for payroll services.
- Resolves payroll matters with employees and/or other company parties.
Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 5 years related experience.
Skilled specialist with proficient functional knowledge and analytical skills pertinent to administering payroll. Knowledge of the accounting and legal requirements of payroll reporting and taxing. Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Ability to manipulate data, prepare reports and analyze outcomes. Prefer experience with SAP. Ability to learn new software or reporting tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
