This exciting opportunity involves building the plant's operations from the ground up, ensuring safety protocols, quality control, efficiency, and productivity from day one. Your leadership will be instrumental in establishing quality control, implementing process improvements, and achieving production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the startup of the manufacturing operation, including duplicating production lines from an existing factory in China, ensuring a seamless transition and setup of manufacturing capabilities.
- Hire qualified staff for the new manufacturing operation and lead comprehensive training programs to ensure all employees are proficient in their roles and the specific manufacturing processes adopted from the factory in China. - Oversee day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve and automate manufacturing processes while ensuring product quality and compliance with government regulations.
- Manage budgetary and financial aspects of plant operations, including cost control, budget planning, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Manage the Plant supply chain, procurement, and logistics to ensure smooth production schedules and timely product delivery.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, embracing lean manufacturing principles and encouraging employee involvement in process optimization and problem-solving initiatives.
- Collaborate with R&D; and product development teams to implement new technologies and processes.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, from production line workers to senior management,
to ensure alignment with company goals and productivity targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
Experiência y requisitos
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Management, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a plant manager, production manager, or in a similar role in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience in production transfer.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and management principles, including lean manufacturing, quality control, and supply chain management.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes in the manufacturing environment.
- Solid financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and cost control.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in manufacturing management software, Microsoft Office and ERP, IFS is a plus.
- US Visa and availability to travel internationally.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a track record of implementing process improvements.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
