- Participate in product industrialization activities, ensuring smooth transition from design, through prototyping, and to full-scale manufacturing.
- Collaborate with design, R&D;, and production teams to develop and implement design for manufacturing (DFM) strategies.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineering and quality teams to ensure processes, subassemblies, and tests are in place to ensure the manufacturing meets design intent and quality standards.
- Ensure released information for manufacture is aligned to general manufacturing standards and is up to date with manufacturing best practices.
- Provide on-site production support as a representative of the product design
**What are we looking for?**
- Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited four-year College or University is required.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in product manufacturing or development engineering with a very high percentage of time & experience on the factory floor in product and process development.
- Able to identify key elements requiring control plans in support of Manufacturing Engineering
- Experience reviewing drawings, schematics and models and providing helpful feedback in design review situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders and be able to address the differing needs of design teams, factories, and supply chains.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions based on data and analysis.
- Strong interest and knowledge of industry standards and best practices in manufacturing and design for manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of PLM, 3D modeling and ERP/MES systems software
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral English is required
