**Responsibilities**:
**Essential Job Functions**
The following duties are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of this position.
**Pursuits and Proposals**
- Lead the design and production of visually sophisticated RFP/RFQ responses, qualification packages, and pursuit collateral across architectural and industrial markets.
- Translate strategy, technical content, and data into clear, visually engaging narratives—spreads that look and read like editorial or magazine-quality pieces.
- Develop editorial-style layouts and presentation frameworks that distinguish SSOE to achieve shortlisted positions for and winning major competitive pursuits
- Create and maintain enterprise-level proposal templates, page grids, and style guides to improve quality and consistency across SSOE deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with marketing coordinators, business development, and project teams to ensure graphics support win strategy and client priorities.
- Ensures that all pursuit deliverables are accurate, brand-consistent, and meet rigorous submission deadlines.
**Marketing Collateral and Brand**
- Design high-end marketing collateral such as brochures, case studies, capability statements, and presentations representing both architectural and engineering-led disciplines.
- Develop and refine visual storytelling for case studies—combining photography, diagrams, icons, and copy into cohesive layouts.
- Curates and maintains image libraries and visual assets (diagram styles, icon sets, etc.) to ensure high-quality assets are available for reuse across projects.
- Support brand evolution by refining visual standards that scale across both design-forward (architecture) and technical (industrial/engineering) practices.
**Interview and Presentation Development**
- Design presentation decks and leave-behinds for client introductions, interviews, and conferences.
- Prepare print-ready files, coordinate with vendors, review proofs, and ensure final deliverables meet SSOE’s quality expectations.
**Collaboration, Communication, and Leadership**
- Work closely with architects, engineers, planners, and technical SMEs to understand content and develop the strongest visual approach for each pursuit.
- Advise and mentor Marketing Coordinators and other team members on layout, visual hierarchy, typography, and brand execution.
- Lead discussions on visual strategy during pursuit kickoffs; contribute to win strategy decisions through design expertise.
- Manage multiple high-pressure projects simultaneously,
communicating timelines, risks, and priorities proactively.
Qualifications:
**What You Will Bring**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field or equivalent industry experience
- 10 or more years of direct experience in graphic design requiring complex, multti-page layout and editorial-quality design
- Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator for image editing, illustration, and web graphics
- Adobe InDesign for print layouts and multi-page documents
- Deep knowledge of print production, pre-flighting, and vendor coordination.
- Ability to interpret and visually simplify architectural and engineering technical content.
- Advanced PowerPoint skills for high-end presentation development.
- **Advanced English**.
**Desirable Skills**:
- Experience within the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction industries or another professional services or highly technical industry
- Experience in professional services enviroment.
