**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Responsible for HV (Primary) designs for GIS/AIS Substation projects.
- Preparation of basic Single Line Diagram, general arrangement, Layout Plan & Section of Overall plant, Equipment control room, GIS building arrangement, equipment erection dwgs, Grounding Layout/details, Trench Layout etc.
- Capable to complete Grounding design, Lightning design, Cable Sizing, Battery Sizing, Illumination system design, Sag Tension calculation, Short Circuit Force and Bus
- bar Sizing as per IEEE/IEC.
- Preparation of all Project related HV Equipment Specifications/selections and Sizing as per IEEE/IEC
- Evaluation of vendor Shop Drawings, Calculation & Technical Specs
- Support ITO (tender) drawings, BOQ estimation, RFQ finalization & evaluation of various components, selection of equipment with best pricing options.
- Co-ordination and integration with Automation, Civil & MEP.
- Co-ordination of site & office team for execution of project
- Flexible and quick to learn global developments in renewable technologies and adopt.
- Know-how of IEEE / IEC codes, safety in design/EHS aspects, AC substation industry engineering practices.
- Good Communication skills & capability to lead project independently along with Client handling.
- Team handling & development.
**Qualifications / Requirements**
- Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience
- Good understanding of power system components (transformers, switchgear, protection systems) and renewable energy integration.
- Excellent communication skills,
capable of explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance technical requirements and business needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with clients.
- Ability to guide/groom team and execute project in line with client/project requirement.
- Ability to expand the competency domain, being able to take new learning challenges.
- Professional working proficiency in English (reading, speaking, writing)
- Versátil to travel globally
**Desired Qualifications**
- Professional Engineering license in the United States (or demonstrating his/her plan to get PE license within a certain period).
- FACTS project engineering i.e. STATCOM, FSC, Synchronous Condenser
- Competency on specialized tools like ETAP, CDGES or equivalent
- Working experience with 3D Design Tools, BIM and Revit
