Position SummaryAs an Analyst Mechanical Engineer, you will support engineering projects focused on modifications, upgrades, and improvements to existing automated material handling systems across North America.This role combines mechanical design, equipment configuration, documentation development, customer support, and field execution activities.
You will work closely with mechanical, controls, installation, and project management teams to deliver solutions that improve system performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction.This position is based in Guadalupe, Reciente León and requires up to 50% travel to customer sites in the United States.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and modify mechanical designs for automated material handling and conveyor systems.Create and maintain engineering drawings, layouts, and technical documentation.Generate and update Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Support equipment selection, configuration, and implementation activities.Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.Coordinate with Controls Engineers, Project Managers, Field Engineers, and Installation Teams.Perform site surveys and collect field measurements to validate project scope.Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and startup activities at customer sites.Assist with project execution while considering schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, cost reduction,
and operational efficiency.Provide technical support during installation and project execution.Follow Dematic safety standards and engineering best practices.Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related discipline.1-4 years of experience in:Mechanical DesignProduct EngineeringProject EngineeringManufacturing EngineeringAutomation or Material Handling SystemsExperience with CAD software such as:NXSolidWorksCreoAutoCADExperience creating engineering drawings and BOMs.Knowledge of mechanical components, assemblies, and manufacturing processes.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.Availability to travel up to 50% within the United States.Preferred QualificationsExperience with conveyor systems, automation equipment, or industrial machinery.Knowledge of GD&T; and Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
Experience supporting installation, commissioning, or field activities.Experience working directly with manufacturing and production teams.Familiarity with engineering change management processes.Why Join Dematic?
