**(Fixed term job: 12 months)**
We are seeking a **Payroll Specialist**based**in**Guadalajara site**to join our **Integral Business Services (GBS)** organization.
This role supports end-to-end payroll operations for Mexico.
You will work closely with local HR, Finance, and external payroll providers to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing while delivering exceptional employee experience.
**Key**Responsibilities**
- **Payroll Processing (Mexico focus)**: Prepare and validate payroll inputs for Mexico (e.g., base pay, variable compensation, overtime, deductions), reconcile outputs, and support payment execution in alignment with local regulations (IMSS, INFONAVIT, SAT).
- **Data Integrity & Controls**: Maintain accurate employee data, perform pre
- and post-payroll reconciliations, and support SOX/internal control activities, ensuring audit-ready documentation.
- **Compliance & Statutory Reporting**: Help compile statutory reports, tax filings, and social security submissions; track changes in local legislation and escalate impacts to senior team members.
- **Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination**: Liaise with external payroll providers and banking partners; collaborate with HR, Finance, and HRIS teams to resolve issues and meet cutoffs.
- **Employee Experience & Case Management**: Respond to employee payroll inquiries via ticketing systems, ensuring clear, empathetic communication and timely resolution.
- **Month-End Activities**: Assist with payroll journals, GL reconciliations, and payroll accruals in collaboration with Finance.
- **Confidentiality & Security**: Handle sensitive payroll data in line with data privacy requirements (e.g., GDPR, local laws) and company policies.
**Required**Qualifications**
- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, HR, or related field; equivalent practical experience considered.
- **Experience**:
Internship, co-op, or up to 2 years of experience in payroll, HR operations, or finance support.
Exposure to **Mexico payroll** is strongly preferred; multi-country payroll exposure is a plus.
- **Technical Skills**: Familiarity with payroll systems and ( SAP, Workday) and intermediate Excel (lookups, pivot tables, reconciliations).
- **Knowledge**: Basic understanding of payroll concepts, local statutory rules for Mexico (IMSS, INFONAVIT, ISR).
- **Communication**: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
- **Detail Orientation**: High accuracy, organization, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
