**Manufacturing Process Engineer**

As we scale our operations, we are expanding our growth in Mexico.
The Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing and assembly processes to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective production.
This role supports new product introductions (NPI) and continuous improvement initiatives, working cross-functionally to achieve production, quality, and delivery targets.
**Areas of Responsibility**
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing and assembly processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost.
- Lead and support production line design, layout development, line balancing, and capacity analysis.
- Support APQP activities, including process flow diagrams, PFMEA, control plans, and launch readiness.
- Prepare and execute PPAP documentation and submissions in coordination with Quality and Customer teams.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives (waste reduction, standard work, kaizen, 5S, continuous improvement).
- Support basic automation solutions, including fixtures, poka-yokes, and semi-automated processes.
- Interface with PLC-controlled equipment (basic troubleshooting and process optimization understanding).
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams to resolve process issues and improve uptime.
- Support and optimize MES usage for data accuracy, traceability, and reporting.
- Define and maintain process documentation: work instructions, SOPs, and process parameters.
- Participate in NPI, pilot builds, and production ramp-ups.
- Analyze production data and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

**Desired Traits, Qualifications, Education & Experience**
**Required**:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Strong knowledge of:
- APQP
- PPAP
- Production line design and layout
- Lean Manufacturing principles
- Experience with manual and semi-automated assembly processes.
- Basic PLC knowledge (I/O understanding, troubleshooting, interaction with automation equipment).
- Basic automation experience (fixtures, sensors, actuators, simple control systems).
- Experience working with MES systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and process documentation.
- Fluent in Business English (spoken and written); able to collaborate with general teams.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Adaptable and gritty; able to work with ambiguity and under-defined processes while delivering strong results.
- Able to build systems that are both repeatable and adaptable, improving reliability while maintaining flexibility.
**Additional Technical Qualifications**
**CAD / Layout Tools**
- AutoCAD or similar (factory layouts, line design, equipment placement)
- Basic 3D CAD exposure (SolidWorks, Inventor, or equivalent) - preferred
**Manufacturing & Operations Systems**
- MES for production tracking, traceability, and reporting
- ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) for BOMs, routings, and production orders
**Automation & Controls Interfaces**
- Basic interaction with PLC software (Allen-Bradley RSLogix / Studio ****, Siemens TIA Portal) - troubleshooting level
**Preferred Certifications**
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt)
- Experience with automation and robotics in manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with ISO and other quality management systems
