**Job Summary**:
**What a typical day looks like**:
Take ownership during the entire life cycle of automation projects, from concept to feasibility and from fabrication and test to production.
- Define, develop, and deploy automation into Flex sites.
Design the layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency and safety.

- Prepare RFQ's and solicit quotations from automation suppliers.
Evaluate supplier quotations to obtain the best combination of technical solution, cost and timing.
- Develop budget and schedule for projects and manage projects to stay within them.
Able to quickly cost evaluate and work up the financial justification for automating- Conduct equipment design reviews and provide design guidance to suppliers.
- Manage automation suppliers through all phases of projects.
- Provide on-site support during machine build, debug and testing/qualification.
- Supervise installation and testing to verify requirements and specifications are met.
- Draft qualification protocols and support equipment qualification activities.
- Develop manufacturing solutions with the best combination of manual, semi-automation and/or full automation.
Evaluate and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow.
- Implement cost effective automation solution.
- Support new product development automation needs, facilitate assembly processes through the implementation of assembly cells and automated equipment at NPI stage and ensure meeting development timeline.




- Interface with customers and functional owners on product development issues regarding automation.
Conduct design-for-automation examination and provide detailed recommendations.
- Participate in design reviews and provide status reports as per established schedule.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to the operation of the automation equipment
**The experience**we're**looking to add to our team**Bachelor's Degree is required and related experience/- Fluent English.
- Experience in automation and manufacturing engineering, including comprehensive project management and supervision.
- Experience in automated plants.
- Experience with robots, PLCs, pneumatic and hydraulic actuators, and sensors.
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing companies.
- Desirable: experience in the electronics industry.
- Solid knowledge of mechanical, electronic, or electromechanical systems integration.
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 tools and technologies.
- Dynamic and proactive individual.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Advanced functional, technical, people, and process management skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills with internal and external clients.
- Demonstrates detailed experience in highly complex functional/technical areas or broad knowledge across multiple areas; understands the strategic impact of the function across different sites.
