Overview:
Celanese is looking to expand our Tax team in Mexico City with a new Tax Advanced Specialist.
**Responsibilities**:
- Work closely with tax team members on all Mexico direct and indirect tax matters;
- Monthly Mexico VAT compliance filings;
- Monthly provisional income tax filings and payment calculations;
- Support senior team members in responding to audit inquiries from Mexico tax authorities (SAT);
- Support statutory accounting team by providing tax information for use in statutory financial statements;
- Support senior team members in quarterly tax provision processes.
- Support senior team member in annual tax return filings and annual tax provision processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of accounting or finance related




- Minimum of 4-years of tax experience in public or industry
- Experience in preparing annexes for the tax audit report and ISSIF (Fiscal Audit Report Filing System)
- Desirable to have knowledge of Deferred Income Tax.
- Good knowledge of indirect (VAT) and direct Mexico tax laws and regulations;
- Good knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP system;
- Proactive, result oriented, fast learner, persistent, stable and willing to work under pressure;
- Ability to collaborate effectively with peers, stakeholders and partners across the organization;
- Proficient in use of Excel.
