Automotive Industry
We are looking for a
Legal Counsel
to provide
full‐process legal support
to the local automotive sales and aftersales operations.
This role is ideal for a legal professional who thrives in
fast‐paced, multinational environments
, enjoys working closely with business teams, and is comfortable handling a
broad legal scope
that includes contracts, compliance, labor matters, corporate governance, and dispute management.
Key Responsibilities
Provide
full legal support
for the local automobile sales business.
Lead the
full contract cycle
for core commercial activities: dealer agreements, vehicle sales contracts, after‐sales service agreements, marketing/advertising contracts, logistics procurement, and other commercial documents.
Support
commercial negotiations
, identify legal risks (consumer protection, commercial obligations, contractual liabilities), and deliver
risk‐mitigation strategies
.
Build and maintain the
internal compliance system
:
Labor & employment compliance (employment contracts, non‐compete agreements, employee handbook, training, etc.).
Corporate governance (guidance for board and governing bodies).
Management of licenses, permits, and qualifications required for importation, distribution,



and aftersales operations.
Manage
legal disputes
and external counsel: consumer claims, dealer disputes, labor litigation/arbitration, IP/infringement matters.
Coordinate with
HQ Legal
to align reporting, compliance requirements, and legal strategy.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law
4–8 years PQE
, ideally with experience in the
automotive sales/distribution
sector
Valid legal practice qualification in Mexico
(indispensable)
Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts
Excellent oral and written English (working proficiency)
Strong communication and stakeholder‐management skills
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and solve problems with business‐oriented solutions
