**Descripción y Requisitos***:Summary**
The Materials Manager for Mack Technologies Juarez is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Supply Chain, Production Control, Master Scheduling, Warehousing, Purchasing electronic components, customs, and logistics.
The incumbent must have solid proven experience in manufacturing - preferably in Surface Mount Technology and Electronics Contract Manufacturing Services and full box build environments.
Must be hands-on to perform the duties of an Expert Master Planner/Scheduler and Expert Buyer (lead by example) and coach/mentor other planner/buyers in Best Practices/Lean Strategies to maximize inventory turns, establish Just In Time (JIT) materials management tactical actions and manage a >$100M annual spend.
As an SME in Materials Management the incumbent will be responsible for material planning, distribution, inventory control, material analysis and supply chain management, for our high/medium volume, high mix, contract PCBA/Box Build manufacturing process.
The Materials Manager will report directly to the Director of Operations of the Mack Technologies Juarez, Mexico site.
This position is 100% fully on-site.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Will work hand-in-hand with leadership, sales, program managers, operations, quality, and engineering.
- Knowledge of component identification and nomenclature required.
- Management of the procurement functions necessary and leading to planning team to support the production requirements and attaining Revenue Commitments, On Time Delivery, and Profitability of the enterprise and ensure Customer Satisfaction.
- Proficient with the ERP System (must be hands on, expert user) and in stockroom software tools -provide guidance in their use.




- Manage the Materials Management as defined by organizational procedures and corporate guidelines.
- Implementation of the necessary Material Cost Reviews to verify correct product costs in support of proper customer pricing and margins.
- Lead the SIOP process, and contribute as a major participant in the operational strategic planning and Materials activities
- Manage Stockroom activities.
Insure all proper system documentation is submitted
- Support Program Management and Business Development in the presentation of the Materials capabilities to customers and cost reduction programs defined by the Manufacturing Agreements.
- Manages, controls and directs staff to achieve Materials profit and loss objectives including minimization of excess and obsolete inventory.
- Responsible for accurate inventory cycle counts, and controls.
Provides for the proper shipping and documentation of finished goods.
- Provide insights into new technology and strategies (Lean, Pull Systems, Visual Factory, etc.) for improved floor management of materials necessary to maintain deliveries in support of customer satisfaction.
- Interface well with production management and insure the "team" concept is fully implemented in the managed organization.
- Ensure implementation of a smooth transaction and integration of the material portion of the New Product Introduction from the initial product order through production release.




- Review all System Tools and make recommendations for improvements, changes or additions to support improved materials efficiencies and drive the implementation /execution of the improvement actions.
- Support organizational metrics to indicate individual and departmental performance to requirements.
- Identifying cost saving opportunities, creating competitive environments, creatively generating/negotiating contracts and managing the delivery of optimal solutions.
- Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain (e.g. use of trucks, forklifts).
- Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards (Mexican & USA Governments).
- Must be a mentor with his/her team to train and guide employees
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Business/Supply Chain or related field and 7+ years of experience in an electronics (SMT, Box Build, EMS, and Contract Manufacturing) environment, EMS is highly preferred.
- Master's degree a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role desirable.
- 95% bilingual English/Spanish with excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentations)
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems; INFOR Syteline preferred.
- APICS CPIM and/or CSCP certification desirable.
- Outstanding negotiation skills and ERP (hands-on) expertise are required.
- ISO **** background a must.
- Requires a strong background in supporting a low to medium volume, system assembly manufacturing operation
