Skycatch is looking for a skilled ML/AI Data Generation/Labeling Engineering Intern who possesses a passion for pushing technologies to the limits and that will work with our team of talented engineers to expand our amazing technology across the industry.
**What you'll do**:
- ** Assessing the quality of multiple Machine Learning systems**:
- Reporting the quality of image segmentation algorithms
- Reporting the quality of object detection algorithms on images
- Assessing the quality of other outputs such as 3D pointclouds and 3D meshes
- **Data mining from large databases**:
- Looking for datasets of images with specific features from a large datasets pool
- Reviewing large sets of images to curate what may be useful for specific projects
- **Maintaining and organizing data assets in the form of image databases**:
- Keeping spreadsheets detailing what each dataset contains and what is the percentage of images labeled
- Reporting the performance of multiple AI/ML algorithms to the rest of the engineering team so that they can make informed decisions
- **Manually labeling sections inside images from large image databases according to a set of semantic classes (Cars, Vegetation, Buildings, Snow, etcetera)**
**What we are looking for**:
- You are passionate about data and machine learning systems
- You have critical thinking skills
- You possess the hability to make decisions with scarce or limited information
- You have attention to details
- You possess highly proficient English skills: both written and verbal communication, with ability to follow technical written instructions
- You are comfortable using excel and Google workspace
- You are able to work at least 20 hours per week
**Considered a plus**:
- Familiarity with ML/AI
- Experience labeling/reviewing images, pointclouds or 3D meshes
- Experience working with Linux and the command line
- Experience working with S3 and AWS
