Responsibilities Of The Engineer IncludeInfrastructure Identification & CataloguingResource Discovery: Identify and catalogue residual NAS file shares, CPU allocations, and object storage linked to decommissioned applications.Data Analysis: Analyse data in Excel and internal tools to identify decommissioning candidates and measure outcomes.Stakeholder Engagement: Engage application owners to notify them of remaining infrastructure and secure formal approval for deletion.ExecutionChange Management: Raise and manage Change Requests for approved decommissioning actions.Coordination: Work with Storage, Compute, and Platform teams to execute permanent infrastructure removal.Tracking & Reporting: Track progress, escalations, and blockers via Jira - maintain clean boards and accurate status at all times.Stakeholder Communication: Produce and distribute structured notifications, reports, and dashboards to stakeholders and senior leadership.Process Improvement & AutomationRigor & Follow-Through: A rigorous approach to operational excellence is required.
Engineers must proactively follow up on outstanding approvals, escape delays per SLA with clear professional communication.Process Improvement: Continuously improve processes, templates, and automation to increase decommissioning throughput.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engineer will also need to work with cross-functional infrastructure and platform teams and must have an aptitude for learning new workflows and tooling as necessary.Technical SkillsBasic QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's or Masters in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience in infrastructure management, technology project delivery and/or enterprise-scale environments involving large number business critical applications.Languages: Unix/Linux Shell Scripting, Basic proficiency in Python (scripting,



automation, data manipulation).
