Site Operations ManagerChihuahua, MX**This position will report onsite in Chihuahua.
**Midtronics is seeking an experienced Site Operations Manager to lead the strategic transformation and autonomous growth of our Mexico office.This is a highly strategic role—not an administrative position.You will be the primary decision-maker and strategy owner for all Mexico operations, accountable for translating corporate strategy into local execution, managing a team, and growing the Mexico office from a satellite operation into a self-directed, high-performing regional business unit.This role is adecuado for a seasoned operations leader ready to own a region, make autonomous decisions, and build a high-performance culture with mínimal US oversight.
**ROLE OVERVIEW**:- Own all strategic decisions for Mexico operations: Set direction, allocate resources, manage team, and drive results within corporate guardrails- Translate US strategic goals into Mexico operational plans and quarterly priorities- Make autonomous decisions on hiring, budgets, vendor relationships, and organizational structure (within defined authority matrix)- Lead the transformation from a task-execution satellite to a high-performance, self-directed regional operation- Manage the Office Manager to ensure alignment between direction and executed responsibilities- Own P&L; accountability for Mexico operations; manage annual budget and optimize resource allocation- Build and mentor a high-potential team; develop succession plans and growth paths for critical roles- Do whatever it takes to ensure the success of Midtronics Mexico, the team,
and strong alignment with Midtronics other locations and teams to ensure we achieve our strategic goals**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:**Strategic Ownership and Planning -**- Develop Mexico-specific annual operational plans aligned to US corporate strategy and OKRs- Lead quarterly strategy workshops to define operational objectives and cascading goals- Communicate strategic priorities repeatedly and clearly to ensure team alignment- Monitor monthly strategic KPIs and report progress to US Leadership with variance analysis**Decision Making Autonomy -**- Make all major operational decisions: hiring (up to defined salary thresholds), budget reallocation, vendor contracts (up to $X USD), and organizational changes- Establish local governance frameworks and escalation protocols- Review and approve major initiatives before execution by Office Manager- Identify and escalate strategic risks and blockers to US Leadership**Team Leadership and Talent Development -**- Coach and mentor the Office Manager; conduct regular strategy reviews to ensure execution aligns with strategic direction- Build organizational design and structure for Mexico operations; define roles, responsibilities, and skill gaps- Lead talent development initiatives; identify high-potential employees and create growth paths- Establish succession plans for all critical roles,
including your own- Conduct annual performance reviews and 360-degree feedback; set performance expectations aligned to goals**Financial and Operational Management -**- Own P&L; accountability for Mexico operations; manage annual budget and optimize cost structure- Establish operational metrics dashboards (revenue, customer health, employee metrics, operational efficiency), report monthly to US Leadership- Conduct monthly variance analysis; explain budget variances and implement corrective actions- Manage vendor relationships, procurement, and optimize operational efficiency**Governance and Communication -**- Lead monthly strategic alignment meetings (cascade: US Ops Mgr Office Mgr)- Conduct weekly 1:1s with Office Manager on strategy and execution; monthly business reviews with US Leadership- Establish monthly metrics dashboard and quarterly 360-degree feedback process- Communicate risks monthly; escalate critical issues immediately with context and recommended solutions**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:- 7+ years of experience in operations management, regional management, or business unit leadership roles- Demonstrated experience owning P&L; accountability and autonomous decision-making authority- Proven track record leading organizational transformation and building high-performance teams- Experience managing teams across multiple functions (HR, Finance, Operations, Customer Relations)- Conversational English (written and verbal) — you will communicate regularly with US executives; clear, direct communication is essential- Proven experience communicating with US C-suite executives and navigating matrix reporting structures- Strong financial acumen: budget planning, variance analysis, P&L; management- Strategic thinking: ability to translate high-level strategy into operational plans and drive execution- Autonomous decision-maker: comfortable making decisions without US approval (within defined parameters); not hesitant or approval-seeking- Excell
