ABOUT THIS ROLE
As a Software Development Engineer on the Fraud Defense Engineering team, you will help protect Audible's ecosystem — safeguarding creators, listeners, and customers from fraud and abuse across all integral marketplaces. You'll contribute to building intelligent detection systems, investigation platforms, and automated enforcement capabilities that operate at scale. This is a high-impact role where your technical contributions directly protect the integrity of our business and the trust of millions of customers worldwide. You'll grow rapidly in this role — learning to anticipate threats, contributing to detection approaches, and developing effective solutions alongside experienced engineers.

ABOUT THE TEAM
The Fraud Defense Engineering team sits within Audible's inSpire organization. We build the tooling, platforms, and automated systems that protect the integrity and trustworthiness of Audible's business. Our primary focus areas include:
- Develop and improve investigation and case management tools that empower internal operations teams to enforce fraud policies effectively
- Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, product managers, policy teams, and distributed teams across time zones to implement enforcement strategies
- Write clean, well-tested code, participate actively in code reviews, and follow sound engineering practices that balance enforcement speed with customer experience
- Contribute to complex technical initiatives within the fraud defense domain under guidance from senior engineers, lea
