Senior Project Manager, Manufacturing Transformation (SAP S/4HANA) Join Our Team as a Senior Project Manager, Manufacturing Transformation Join our Manufacturing organization as a Senior Project Manager, Manufacturing Transformation, where you will lead one of the most strategic business transformation initiatives for our operations: the migration from our legacy ERP platform (MAPICS) to SAP S/4HANA. This role is a unique opportunity to drive large-scale digital transformation within a manufacturing environment, leading cross-functional teams through a complex ERP implementation that will shape the future of our operations. The selected candidate will act as the primary project leader, coordinating Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, Engineering, IT, and external implementation partners to ensure a successful deployment while maintaining business continuity. The SAP S/4HANA implementation is expected to be the primary focus during the first two years. After deployment, the position will evolve into a strategic Manufacturing Transformation leadership role, managing high-impact initiatives related to operational excellence, digitalization, productivity improvement, process optimization, automation, and Industry 4.0. This position is based at our Mexico City Manufacturing Plant (Rojo Gómez) and requires an on-site presence. What will you do? Lead the end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation for the manufacturing site, ensuring delivery against scope, budget, timeline, and business objectives. Act as the primary point of contact between Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, Engineering, IT, and external implementation partners. Develop and execute detailed project plans, governance structures, communication plans, and risk mitigation strategies. Coordinate business process mapping, fit-gap analysis, testing, data migration, training, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization activities. Drive organizational change management and user adoption initiatives to ensure a successful transition to SAP S/4HANA. Lead cross-functional project teams and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels. Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks and operational impacts.
Manage project resources, budgets, timelines, and implementation partners. Ensure alignment between manufacturing operational requirements and ERP system capabilities. Facilitate executive updates and communicate project progress to senior leadership. Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, productivity, and operational performance. Lead future manufacturing transformation projects focused on digitalization, automation, process optimization, and operational excellence. Apply Lean principles and project management best practices to improve business processes and deliver sustainable results. What are the key skills we are looking for? Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field. 7+ years of experience leading complex projects within manufacturing environments. Proven experience leading at least one full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementation, ERP deployment, or major business transformation initiative. Strong preference for candidates with an IT background combined with hands-on experience supporting manufacturing operations. Demonstrated experience working with ERP migrations from legacy manufacturing systems such as MAPICS, Oracle, JD Edwards,
Infor, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, inventory management, supply chain, and operations. Proven ability to lead large-scale cross-functional projects involving business and technical teams. Experience managing project budgets, schedules, resources, risks, and executive stakeholder communications. Strong change management experience, including user adoption, training strategy, stakeholder engagement, and organizational readiness. Advanced English proficiency required, including the ability to lead meetings, facilitate workshops, negotiate priorities, and communicate with global teams. Excellent communication, leadership, influencing, and relationship-building skills. Ability to navigate ambiguity, drive decision-making, and maintain project momentum in fast-paced environments. Preferred Qualifications PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or similar Project Management certifications. Prosci or other Change Management certifications. Experience supporting digital transformation, smart manufacturing, Industry 4.0, automation, or operational excellence initiatives. Experience in multinational manufacturing organizations. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies. Experience managing external consulting firms and system integrators.
